I have a dear friend who blogs as part of her business, and so she is very supportive of my new blogging endeavor. Last night, she gave me a jar of saffron threads imported from Barcelona. I’ve never had real saffron, so I was very surprised to see that it was purple. Yes, it comes from a crocus flower, and crocuses are purple. But it turns food yellow, so why isn’t it yellow?
So now I am in search of a recipe that uses saffron.
